Kawaguchi Public Golf Course which was in the Arakawa Riverbed in Kita Ward, Tokyo, but due to diminution of the course, the owner decided to move to the present place and opened in 1975.
Initially, it started with a total of 27 holes in Nasu course, Nakagawa course, and Ukima course. The name of the Ukama course is derived from the name of UKIMA area of the Arakawa Riverbed.
Hatsuji Akira who also designed Shishido Hills, etc. was appointed as course designer. While in the hilly area, the fairway is generous, relatively easy to play. The greens is much quicker than
it looks, so approach shots need to be careful. The clubhouse with a triangular roof imitates Mt. Fuji and the stones used for the outer wall actually uses the one carried from Mt. Fuji.
Professional golfers such as Maruyama Shigeki, Miyazato Ai, Matsuyama Hideki, Ishikawa Ryo and other professional golfers also gathered at the venue of All-Japan High School Golf Championship
Tournament when they were students, and a lot of photographs of them at that time are decorated. "Vellview hotel" is located on the premises with high-quality hot springs spring, so you can
