DESCRIPTION
The Shin Musashigaoka Golf Course is located in Hidaka City, Saitama Prefecture. It takes about 10 minutes from Sayama Hidaka IC of Keno Expressway by car, and 7 minutes from Seibu Ikebukuro Line and JR Hachiko Line Hanno Station by car.
The course, opened in 1999, is located next to the Musashigaoka golf course owned by Seibu group. A total length of the course is 6,259 yards (18 holes, PAR71), and a professional golfer Ayako Okamoto served an adviser of course design. In almost all Japanese golf courses, you have to take a rest and have a lunch when you finish first 9 holes. But in this course, you can play 18 holes without taking a rest. The green fees are reasonable, and it is able to enjoy golfing without a caddie because the golf cart has a navigation system.
To give some example of impressive hole, the 2nd par-3 hole has a valley and a rock garden in the valley you can enjoy the flowers in seasons. These flowers make players relaxed. The 3rd hole is a downhill par-4 hole overlooking the green from the teeing ground. The right side is the forest and the left side is the pond which continues to the green. There is a bunker like a beach in front of the green. It is the most difficult hole among the 18 holes. The 11th hole is 551 yards par-5. It is a great view hole that Chichibu mountain range and Hidaka City can be seen from the teeing area. At the 17th hole, there is a 1.5 m depth bunker, and it is required high skill to escape. If you are not good at bunkers, you should avoid it.
The clubhouse is bright and modern design.
